What are Boot Camps?
Boot Camp is an umbrella term used to describe our classes because each workout includes a variety of cardio, functional and strength training. Our Boot Camps will help you take your workout to the next level as they provide a high intensity challenge for people of all levels and abilities. Each workout at Edge Body Boot Camp is different which helps to avoid those training plateaus that often occur when someone is sticking to the same routine over and over. This variety also helps increase an individual’s level of commitment to the actual workout program as you never get bored of doing the same thing day in and day out, AND you may actually find yourself looking forward to what challenge today’s boot camp workout may bring. Whether it’s weight loss or improved strength, the Boot Camps at Edge Body will help you reach your goals and maximize your fitness potential.
What You Can Expect at Our Classes
The average class length is 40-45 minutes. As mentioned, every day/class offers a different workout to challenge you towards reaching your goals. All workouts are planned with the intention of members being able to attend back to back days. For example, if one workout incorporates several leg exercises, there will most likely not be any leg exercises in the next day’s workout. The class workouts are challenging, but can be modified in several ways to be suitable for the beginner or the advanced exerciser. Since everything is modifiable, our boot camps are on-going and don’t run in “sessions” (i.e. 6 weeks, 8 weeks etc.). People can start at anytime and members don’t have to worry about sessions ending and waiting for a new one to begin. Classes are offered 7 days a week and you currently have 43 class times to choose from. The group atmosphere allows for a community feel that pushes each member while holding them accountable.
Edge Body Boot Camp Omaha is not a military style fitness camp, there are no drill sergeants screaming or yelling in your ear. Our philosophy is to challenge your body for maximum results in a positive and supportive environment, so that make camps feel more like a fun get-together than a dreaded workout.
Measurements & Evaluations
There are many ways to track your progress. Even though the number on the scale will not always tell you the big picture, we still encourage members to track their progress. The best ways to do this are progress pictures, girth measurements to track inches lost, and body fat %. We also have members track the weights they use and workout performance so they can see just how far they’ve come and how much stronger they are.
Additional Outings & Events
We strive to be your health and wellness family. This means that we’ll try to bring to you a wealth of knowledge through periodic seminars on health and fitness related topics and plan social outings (which may or may not be directly health related) to develop that community feel and inject more fun and awesomeness into our member’s experience with Edge Body Boot Camp.
